The mediation process exists to facilitate an effective conversation; it doesn't propose or pass judgement on potential solutions. Whilst many – as is human nature – seek to find an answer because they feel one side or the other is 'right', throughout my life, I’ve consistently been able to see and understand both sides of a conflict, whether personal or professional.
I believe this perspective provides me with an ability to help people find a common ground. I listen without judgment, create space for constructive dialogue, and guide people toward clarity.
I have extensive experience managing complex interpersonal and organisational dynamics at corporate, agency, charity, and start-up organisations. With an ability to build trust quickly and guide sensitive, high-stakes conversations, I trained as a Civil & Commercial Mediator (Society of Mediators) to formalise and deepen my skills in helping others uncover a shared resolution. I recently completed a Workplace Mediator conversion course with Calm Mediation.
My previous professional roles include Chief of Staff, Chief Communications Officer, and Senior Vice President, with a focus on innovation, alignment, and behaviour change (US, UK, and EMEA experience).
I have an MSc (Distinction) in Business Administration, Leadership & Strategy from London Business School (LBS) and BA in Psychology from Skidmore College.
Similar to mediation, the Volunteer and Charity sectors require listening, diplomacy, and consensus-building to balance mission, governance, and personalities. Over the years I’ve volunteered at NY Cares as well as mentored LBS students (Business Challenge Week and LondonCap). I’m a Non-Executive Director at the Innocence Project London and Breast Cancer UK charities, and a volunteer Community Mediator at The Heart-led Mediation Project (THMP).
Trained and accredited as a Workplace Mediator, and more recently as a Civil and Commercial Mediator, I hold a strong belief that people can move beyond the conflict that feels insurmountable. With support, differences are overcome, people’s needs are heard, and important relationships can be restored.
I am also an experienced and accredited Therapeutic Coach working with individuals and teams. In this work I also heavily lean into my fundamental belief that people can identify their own solutions and go beyond anything that they ever thought achievable.
Gently, I hold the space that makes this work safe, restorative, and possible.
I’ve also had a long career as a senior leader in the voluntary sector and continue to support charities as a consultant with Eastside People, a social enterprise working across the not-for-profit sector. For some years I was also a facilitator with The Leadership Trust on its flagship week-long Leadership in Management course. I retain a passion for the importance of healthy and empowering workplaces led by self-aware, curious and compassionate leaders at all levels.
I live in London with my Italian husband, our daughter who boomeranged back home having left a few years ago, and our adorable dog, Luna.
I bring to mediation a longstanding interest in psychology and behaviour, and a strong belief in the power of restorative conversations to transform conflict.
After completing a Psychology degree at the University of London, I worked in research at UCL’s Institute of Education and the Institute of Psychiatry, where I was also involved in community-based projects.
I completed my teacher training at the University of Greenwich and my years in education have given me first-hand experience of the relational and emotional complexities that sit beneath behaviour and conflict. It was here that my commitment to restorative and trauma-informed
approaches deepened; recognising that when people feel heard, understood and respected, meaningful resolution becomes possible.
I co-founded Behaviour Matters where I develop and deliver training to school staff, train pupils in Peer Mediation, and facilitate parenting workshops, as well as working one-to-one with parents.
I am trained as a Civil and Commercial Mediator through the Society of Mediators and am a registered member of the Civil Mediation Council, where I serve as an active member of the Peer Mediation Working Group, contributing to the development and strengthening of Peer Mediator training in schools.
I am a volunteer Community Mediator with West Kent Mediation and The Heart-led Mediation Project. My approach is calm, thoughtful and grounded in restorative principles. I approach disputes with insight, empathy and clarity, supporting constructive dialogue even in highly sensitive situations. I create a safe and respectful space where each person has the opportunity to speak openly and be truly heard. I understand that conflict often carries emotional weight, and I work empathically, yet purposefully, to help individuals explore what has happened, how they have been affected, and what they need in order to move forward.
